Covenant Dance Experience

Covenant Dance Experience is a program designed to bring a quality dance experience to children who otherwise might not be able to afford it.  They have performed at Covenant as part of several programs, including Wednesday Night Supper and Sunday Morning Worship,  and at other venues around town, including Trinity United Methodist Church, University Presbyterian Church, Morning Pointe Retirement Center, and the Bama Theater.  In 2006, they and an associated troop were featured on opening night of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in Birmingham.

There are approximately 40 girls participating in the classes four nights a week, with an annual recital at the Central High School or another suitable venue around town. Many of the participants are Hispanic, and the program received a grant from the Presbytery of Sheppards and Lapsely as a part of the Hispanic ministry emphasis.
