Chance to Dance Fundraiser a Success!

The Chance to Dance fundraiser was a resounding success, raising around a $1000 for the afterschool dance program. Here’s a video; if you have trouble, press “play” then stop it immediately, let it load completely, and then press “play” again.

Mexican Dinner Fundraiser!

Come and join Chance to Dance for an authentic Mexican dinner March 21st at 7pm in the Fellowship Hall. As a fundraiser for our upcoming recital, the mothers of Chance to Dance will be cooking dinner along with providing entertainment. The cost will be $10.00 per person and we hope that everyone will join us. Please make reservations with the church office.

A memorial service for Sarah Edwards will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Visitation with Sarah Gay will begin one hour earlier.

Christmas Eve Service

Our annual candlelight Christmas Eve Service will be held in the Sanctuary on Wednesday, December 24, 2008. It will include music by the Sanctuary Choir, the Men’s Ensemble, Bells and organ, as well as a Christmas sermon by Dr. Olson.

Alternative Christmas

Alternative Christmas is here!

Support alternative gifting by making donations in honor of or in remembrance of loved ones during the church season when we are reminded of the importance of God’s presence, hope and help. As we have received, let us be generous to those in need. Support our Presbyterian and Covenant ministries: Youth Summer Mission Trip, Chance to Dance/On Angels’ Wings, Arts ‘n Autism, and the Medical Benevolence Foundation. You will receive a card that you can present to your loved one telling about this special gift in his or her honor or give a gift in memory of your loved one. Join us for Christmas goodies after church in the foyer and narthex for this special Alternative Christmas.

WellSpring Worship

Christ told the woman at the well: “Those who drink of the water I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.” WellSpring is a new monthly worship experience at Covenant. We hope that it will become for us a deep reservoir of faith and hope, and that through it we will drink from that everlasting water WellSpring is quiet and contemplative, relevant and deep.

The first will be at 6:30 pm, November 30, in Covenant’s Fellowship Hall.

Stay tuned for its permanent day and time beginning in January!
