Arts ‘n Autism is now accepting registration for its 2010 Summer Camp!

Arts ‘n Autism offers a 2 week (10 day) specialized summer camp arts program created for children ages 3-18 with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). This program offers the unique opportunity for children with autism to interact with others just like them.  The camp runs June 14-25, 2010 (M-F) from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with morning classes at Covenant Presbyterian Church and afternoon field trips.  Children ages 3-6 may either attend the morning session (8– 11 AM) or all day (8 AM – 5 PM).   Classes offered include art, drama, music, drumming, social skills, swimming, karate, stepping, movement therapy, play therapy, and language arts.  Field trips have yet to be determined, but past outings have included swimming, horseback riding, bowling, visits to the fire station, Fun Factory, CHOM, and the theater.

The cost to attend camp is $360 for the morning program or $710 for a full day.  If a child requires one-on-one assistance, there is an additional cost of $10 per hour.  A $50 registration fee will be applied to the tuition fee for children who attend camp.  In the event a child is unable to attend camp, the registration fee will be refunded.  Scholarships are available for eligible families.  A camp t-shirt, daily lunch and snacks are included (unless on a restricted diet), all field trip expenses, classroom materials, and activity fees are included in the cost of tuition.
